 Skin Classic is a non-laser device that utilized high frequency energy to remove unwanted minor skin irregularities. The Skin Classic high frequency technology is an affordable non-laser treatment for minor skin irregularities such as telangiectasis (broken capillaries), cherry angiomas, keratosis, fibromas, skin tags, hyperpigmentation, milia, sebaceous hyperplasia, and acne. Skin Classic treatments are quick, virtually painless, and work strictly on the epidermis to address common skin irregularities. The Skin Classic treatment treats and/or removes each irregularity permanently, or semi-permanently, without the use of lasers, cutting, burning, or freezing. Each treatment only takes a few seconds and the tip of the Skin Classic probe never penetrates the epidermis. The tip of the Skin Classic probe dehydrates and condenses the epidermal cells creating a scab-like layer that then naturally exfoliates in 3-14 days. Brand new skin is then revealed without the lesion. Normally only one treatment is required.
What will my skin look like post treatment?
The area treated may appear erythmic (red) with some inflammation. The redness should reduce within a few hours. The lighter the skin tone, the longer it may take for the redness to subside. There may be some crusting or scabbing depending on the irregularity and the area of the body being treated.
What if the treated skin irregularity does not go away after treatment?
Some areas may need more than one treatment.
Milia Removal with The Skin Classic
Milia are common non-cancerous skin findings in people of all ages. Milia formed directly from sloughed-off skin are small, fluid filled lesions (cysts) usually found on the face. Milia are formed when skin does not slough off normally but instead remains trapped in a pocket on the surface of the skin. Milia can also develop on the sun-damaged skin of middle-aged and older people. Milia are easily treated with the Skin Classic.
Acne Treatment
Skin Classic machine can be use on active acne to get below the surface to force the inflammation/infection out of the skin. This treatment does not remove the acne, just the infection.
Cholesterol Deposits and Skin Classic Treatment
Cholesterol deposits are soft, flat, yellowish lumps. They tend to appear on the upper and lower eyelids, near the inner corner of the eye, and often develop symmetrically around both eyes. Anyone may get cholesterol deposits around their eyes. But this condition is most common in people with a lipid disorder called dyslipidemia. People with this disorder have too many lipids in their bloodstream, such as triglycerides and certain forms of cholesterol.
Sebaceous Hyperplasia treatment?
Sebaceous hyperplasia is a disorder of the sebaceous glands in which they become enlarged. These glands are located within the skin and are responsible for secreting an oily substance named sebum. They are commonly associated with hair follicles but they can be found in hairless regions of the skin as well. Their secretion lubricates the skin, protecting it from drying out or becoming irritated. Sebaceous hyperplasia generally affects middle-aged to elderly adults. The symptoms of this condition are 1-5 mm papules on the skin, mainly on the forehead, nose and cheeks. The papules may be donut shaped. Skin Classic treatment utilizes a lamprobe to transmit an high frequency electric current to effectively vaporize and dehydrate the skin irregularity with little downtime and no damage to surrounding tissue.
Can you treat broken capillaries on legs?
Legs are not recommended for treatment using the skin classic. Saline injections and laser therapy are the recommended treatment for these areas.
What do I do if it's taking longer than expected to heal?
Be patient continue to use the recommended aftercare. Don't pick or touch the treated area and allow the scab to fall off naturally. It's nature's bandaid!
Is it safe to treat pigmented lesions and spots?
We strongly encourage you have your doctor examine any spot that is questionable or suspicious. We will not treat any lesion that we feel is not safe to do so.
Post Care Instructions:
Following the Skin Classic treatment, it is recommended that you use a gentle cleanser twice a day, in addition to moisturizer and a mineral based SPF to promote healing. No harsh products (such as Retin-A, retinol, acids, tretinoin, etc) should be used until the skin is smooth and free of redness. Treated area will develop a crusted, reddened area within 24-36 hours. The crust or any red/pink areas should shed within 7-14 days. Complete healing may take 30 days or longer. Concealer/makeup that is applied with a clean applicator can be applied to the affected area 24 hours post-treatment. Please contact us with any questions or concerns following your treatment.
